Eric Lindgren - Lindgren Pottery makes handmade functional stoneware and art pottery in the woods outside of Huntsville. Vases, dinnerware, serving pieces etc. are leadfree, microwave and dishwasher safe. Glazes range from matt green, blues and whites to shiny black temmoku. Form, texture and surface decoration are fused to create both traditional vessels and powerful one-of-a-kind pieces.
The pots are either wheelthrown or handbuilt using soft slab techniques, bisque-fired in an electric kiln and glaze-fired in a propane car kiln. Clay is mixed using a custom recipe which includes clays from Missouri, Kentucky and Tennessee at Pottery Supply House in Oakville. Eric makes his own glazes from a wide range of materials.
Lindgren Pottery was pleased to be chosen in 2010 to provide the serving pieces and dinnerware for the G8 Leaders Summit in Huntsville. There is a display at Deerhurst Resort where the summit was held.
